| Drank 12 oz of Bourbon Fred From The Wood by Hair of the Dog Brewing Company (2013) | March 24th, 2015 |
2015-03-24 Noooooo. Flat, boozy, unappealing, all around sadness. Drain pour.
| Drank 750 ml of Strawberry by Cascade Brewing (2013) | March 23rd, 2015 |
2015-03-23 Too much bandaid and nail polish remover, despite a nice strawberry nose, and a bit medicinal. Alas, better fresh.
2013-08-14 Lots of strawberry in the nose, then a bit up front, and it subsides into puckering tartness with not much fruit. Not at all bad, but the Apricot and the Kriek are both better expressions of fruit beer.
| Drank 750 ml of Map of the Sun by The Rare Barrel (2014-10-08) | March 23rd, 2015 |
2015-03-23 Delicious! Super clean, good bit of apricot, perfect tartness, an all around wonderful beer.
2014-12-31 Tasting good but not stellar, recall it being better on draft, I did have a pour towards the end of the bottle so might have been dregs interfering.
| Drank 650 ml of Toasty Nut Abduction by Pipeworks Brewing Company (2014) | March 21st, 2015 |
2015-03-21 Also quite tasty, not sure how but the coconuts actually melded into a nice malty sweetness that paired with the nutty backend nicely.
| Drank 750 ml of 2009 Vintage Oak Aged Ale (Barrel No. 145) by Brouwerij Rodenbach (2009) | March 21st, 2015 |
2015-03-21 Lots of wine, lovely yeast aroma, and so so mellow in the best way. A delicious beer.
| Drank 650 ml of Double Double Barrel Ale by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2014) | March 20th, 2015 |
| Drank 22 oz of Deth's Tar by Revolution Brewing LLC (2013-09-16) | March 20th, 2015 |
2015-03-20 Absolutely delicious, a great natural vanilla hint, chocolate, perfectly balanced malt. This is an amazing stout.
| Drank 500 ml of Fuller's Vintage Ale by Fuller Smith & Turner PLC (2008) | March 19th, 2015 |
2015-03-19 Malty, English, and tasty, may have been a bit past its prime but still an enjoyable ale.
| Drank 750 ml of Filmishmish by The Bruery (2014-01-09) | March 15th, 2015 |
2015-03-15 Tons of funk, way more than last time, with a still good amount of apricot backing it up. Not tart, but boy that farmhouse. Dig it.
2014-03-30 Really great, awesome sour forward with a great apricot finish, an amazing fruit sour that I want more of.
| Drank 750 ml of Apropos of Nothing by The Rare Barrel (2014-09-23) | March 15th, 2015 |
2017-11-05 Lavender super present in this! Amazing nose as a result, and really nice, if slightly weird (in a good way) on the palate.
2015-03-15 Tasting delicious, lots of fruit, not too tart at all, super clean, love this beer.
2014-12-25 Fruit in the nose, lots of acidity and fruit on the palate, got a definite cranberry thing going on that's really tasty. A crowd pleaser.
| Drank 22 oz of Sixteen by Central Waters Brewing Company (2014) | March 14th, 2015 |
2015-03-14 A solid stout, a bit harsh perhaps compared to some, but still a tasty sipper with a lot of dark chocolate and bitter nuttiness.
| Drank 750 ml of Fruet by The Bruery (2012) | March 13th, 2015 |
2015-03-13 Lots of malt, booze hidden well, typical of the anniversary profile with nothing too interesting. The newer Sucre variants seem more interesting, but not bad.
| Drank 650 ml of §ucaba by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2014) | March 13th, 2015 |
2015-03-13 Straightforward and tasty, nothing too exciting but a very solid barleywine that avoids the cloying sweetness that overcome some others.
| Drank 650 ml of Firestone 14 - Anniversary Ale by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2010) | March 9th, 2015 |
2017-08-19 Was the favorite anniversary beer of the night. Great roasted character, an extremely mild amount of oxidation for the age, and lots of chocolate. Awesome beer.
2015-03-09 Delicious, has held up so well, a surprising amount of heat in there even! Chocolate, malt, toffee, no anise (thankfully), love it. Glad to had another as this beer is still kicking strong.
2013-12-24 Great roastiness all throughout, not much in the nose but awesome taste profile, has held up amazingly. Absolute delight.
| Drank 22 oz of Barrel Aged B.O.R.I.S. Oatmeal Imperial Stout by Hoppin' Frog Brewery (2013) | March 9th, 2015 |
2015-03-09 Delicious, great vanilla, oak, and malt notes, a super balanced oatmeal stout that has held up great.
2013-07-28 Really nicely balanced mix of stout and barrel and bourbon character, a definite winner, no wonder it's popular.
